The interiors of Main Beach House are conceived as a continuous dialogue between openness and enclosure, balancing generosity of space with moments of intimacy. Organised around a landscaped courtyard, each room is positioned to maintain a visual and spatial relationship with greenery and light, creating a calm and cohesive living environment. Large areas of glazing invite daylight deep into the home, while the use of operable timber screens ensures privacy and control without compromising the sense of openness.

Material selections were chosen for their honesty materiality. Concrete and brick provide a robust framework, offset by the warmth of finely crafted timber joinery and soft interior finishes. The palette is deliberately restrained, allowing subtle shifts in texture, shadow and natural light to shape the character of the interiors throughout the day. Bespoke detailing, from cabinetry to integrated furniture elements, reinforces the architecture’s precision while maintaining a sense of ease and liveability.

The flow of the interiors reflects a carefully composed rhythm, moving from generous communal spaces to more private retreats. Each transition is marked by variations in scale and light, ensuring every space feels distinct yet unified within the broader architectural language. The result is an interior environment that is understated yet refined, where materiality, proportion and connection to landscape combine to create a home of enduring quality.
