The Oxley Nobby Beach Village provides a focal point for the local community and supports the neighbourhood identity and sense of place, creating a new boutique retail village that offers a supermarket, food & beverage, office, eclectic retail outlets and dining.

The two storey facade creates proportions that are respectful of the surrounding development pattern whilst continuing the urban response through an awning addressing the street . The southern facing laneway allows an opportunity for natural light and cross ventilation through the site. A series of shopfront modules which are adaptable and flexible, allow for clearly defined shop entries.

The layering of planter boxes and signage create a clear and consistent shopfront language with a softness of lush landscaping cascading down from above. These planters also allow a landscape buffer to the perimeter, creating a more lush and landscaped environment with a mix of trees and lower level planting.

The application of timber-look aluminium, white brick and landscaping provides a fitting architectural character that respects the coastal vernacular. The retail village contributes positively to the image, quality and overall identity of the Nobby Beach area. It’s timeless, stream-lined and expressive built form enhances the neighbourhood village.
