The central location of the site (on Bundall Road) and the close proximity to the Sorrento Shopping Centre make this site ideal for a residential care facility use. The project is designed to offer excellent amenity, waterfront aspect and excellent recreation facilities for residents in care. The 2/3 level architecture displays a rhythm, with a layering of balcony treatments so that the building has a comfortable scale and relationship to the street. The building is well articulated with several breaks in the built form. The use of a palette of natural materials ensures that the built form is warm and comfortable at the edge of a residential precinct.
