The site is located in the high density precinct of Labrador, directly fronting the Broadwater and parkland. It will contribute residential uses to an area targeted as a future growth corridor. As designed, the project will provide a memorable sculptural residential tower, that will enhance the emerging Broadwater precinct.

The architecture of the proposed development is inspired by its coastal location, with strong vertical and horizontal forms and natural tones. There’s a textured and timeless material palette of stone, white concrete and batten screening, creating a rich and layered coastal effect.

The tower's form when viewed from Marine Pde is slender, with a series of horizontal and vertical elements. This enables the building to fan out towards the rear, to allow all units view glimpses towards the Broadwater. The use of angled blade walls, open up the view opportunities, whilst providing privacy and sun protection from the West. This inturn creates an interesting, slender tower and will create visual interest from the surrounding context.

The design approach will result in the addition of a high quality, engaging residential development within this area, building on the existing, established residential uses and providing a considerable amenity for residents, visitors and neighbours alike.
